How to Make Tinted Dry Shampoo

Dry shampoo is a greasy hair must. And as you must know, commercially prepared tinted dry shampoos are SUPER expensive. Now you can make copious amounts of powder for just a few bucks.

For Blondes, Red Heads & Brunettes:
2/3 cup Dry Flo modified cornstarch or just strait up cornstarch
1/3 cup pink kaolin powder
1 Tablespoon (more or less) of iron oxide pigments
4 drops of lemon EO
4 drops myrrh EO

For Black Hair:
1 cup activated charcoal
1 Tablespoon black mica (for a bit of shine)
8 drops rosemary EO optional

Select iron oxide pigments that match your hair from TKBtrading

Mix up a color that best suits your hair color. Put them in a food processor or plastic baggy and give a good shake.

Store in a clean, air-tight container.

Application if best done with a full style make-up brush. Dip your brush in your pot and then apply a small amount along the roots where hair is most greasy. When that's done work the powder in well with your fingers. Flip head and hair over the bath tub or outside and shake out any remaining free powder dust.

Warning: Do not inhale the powders. Also, don't go out in the rain without an umberella if you're wearing a dark tinted hair powder.
