Natural Hairspray Recipe

• 1 teaspoon of agar-agar powder or kosher gelatin
• 16 ounces (2 cups) water or aloe juice
• 2 ounces of vodka
• 25 drops teaspoon rice bran oil
• 10 drops geranium essential oil

In a pot heat water/aloe juice and agar agar. Boil until you're down to about one cup left in the pot. Take off the heat.

While the mixture is still warm, whisk in the vodka and then the oil. The oil may separate over time if your emulsion didn't take - so give it a shake before use. Shelf life is about 2 weeks - longer if you store it in the fridge or add a bit of optiphen preservative.

If your hairspray mixture is too thick add in a few drops of water and give a shake.
